Greetings, Taverners! The Gatherers’ Tavern team has just finished our event in Indianapolis for GenCon, and we are ready to tell it all about the comings and goings of our booth. Is it a little dramatic? Perhaps, but we believe that the level of fun we had warrants an amazing introduction!

Ta da! Presenting our booth. The Gatherers’ Tavern event team worked very hard on the planning and preparation, and as you can see, they did an excellent job. Though you can see some of our usual staples in the picture, we also brought along some newer items to add a little variety and give everyone something fresh to discover, such as our new The Die is Cast DOMARU Playmat featuring Cinnamon and her friends running from a giant twenty-sided die, hot on their heels. What happens next? If you want to know, make sure to check out our Cinnamon items to piece out her story.

To no one’s surprise, DOMARU remains popular. From playmats and binders to boxes and sleeves, the DOMARU ecosystem is always ready to protect your precious collection. For those who want protection without sacrificing style, be sure to keep an eye out for further DOMARU drops. Maybe there’ll be something new coming out in the coming months…

If you notice our booth seems especially colorful, no doubt it’s partly due to these DOMARU Regular Fit Sleeves. Available in fourteen colors, mix and match the sleeves with your gear for a comfortable shuffle feel and a stylish deck. For those who are cat lovers, our Midnight Magic DOMARU Art Sleeves featuring the cute cat Cinnamon is fit for the task. Cinnamon card sleeves on top of a Cinnamon playmat. Some may think it’s excessive, but can you blame a pet parent for wanting to show off their cat?
We can talk about DOMARU for hours, but its clear that this GenCon is an ARTY fest! We can see our beloved Taverners just couldn’t catch a break when faced with these adorable faces, and we have the pictures to prove it. What can we say? Our product team had done endless nights of research, calculating the perfect formula to make the optimal weapon of cuteness.
We brought all the ARTY we could carry, so our Taverners are spoiled for choice. There’s the Scapegoat ARTYs in four peppy colors: orange, pink, blue, and yellow. Also, our extremely unique Ojama ARTY in Ojama Black, Ojama Green, Ojama Yellow, and Ojama King for an Ojama Party. We have transformed Edgar Markov from the fearsome patriarch to a lovely ARTY while still retaining his stern look.
And of course, GenCon’s rising star… The Owlbear ARTY. Wow. You guys really loved Owlbear ARTY and kept asking about it throughout the event! We were so happy to see how much attention and love it received, and every time someone came by looking for Owlbear, it made us smile. There’s something in that plush little beak that just makes you get cuteness aggression!
Though fearsome in the stories, Owlbear takes on a much cuter role as an ARTY! Instead of being a creature you’d run away from, this Owlbear is one you will happily bring home. It still has that wild and legendary charm we all know, just in a much cuddly form. Who knew something so intimidating could make such a lovable little companion?
As always, we want to take a moment to feature these lovely cosplayers who brought so much life, color, and excitement to the event, A blue tiefling with such a vibrant wig and face paint. The legendary Jeff the Killer (wow, it’s been so long since we heard that name). Ace and Yamato from One Piece looking for treasure in Indianapolis!
We can’t forget these fashion kings and queens! A dark cloak covered in pins like those oracles of the old. Hotdogs hands for a quirky punch, complete with giant googly eyes. Our upcoming Seri ARTY Box’s plush makes a good hair accessory. I mean, cats do love perching from high places.
We had so much fun throughout the event, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to stop by our booth! Seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones made the whole experience even more special. A huge thank you as well to the amazing organizers for bringing the event together and giving us the opportunity to be part of it.
We’re leaving with lots of wonderful memories, and we hope to see you all again at the next one!
