Gatherers’ Tavern’s 2025 Wrapped

Gatherers’ Tavern’s 2025 Wrapped

2025 has been a year of bold innovation and exploration for Gatherers’ Tavern. We started the year with a goal to better our existing offerings and to develop new lines. By the end of 2025, weve established three new brands with various categories of products under them. Join us as we look back on our progress throughout the year to see how far we’ve come.

January: Launch of Sword of Fire and Ice and Aetherdrift Loot ARTY Box

We started the year by unveiling a new statue of one of Magic: The Gathering’s most iconic weapons – the Sword of Fire and Ice. This statue is set to release in January 2026, and it looks absolutely amazing with its removable sword and USB-C powered light-up base.

Next to release with the launch of Aetherdrift was our Aetherdrift Loot ARTY Box, featuring the little beast noble wearing racing goggles! Now you too can have Jace and Vraska’s son with you on your travels.

February: MagicCon ChicagoLaunch of Commanders Kliggs

With the start of MagicCon season in Chicago, we brought along our larger-than-life Fblthp and launched our very first Kliggs keychains with the Commanders series.

Officially licensed by Wizards of the Coast, these keychain designs were illustrated by GT artists in an adorable chibi style. Our keychains are perfect forms of oshikatsu, great for showing off your favourite characters and for gifting to your playgroup.

March: GAMA Expo, Konami Yu-Gi-Oh! Partnership

GAMA Expo was an amazing time for connecting with retailers and industry professionals. We have been constantly working on expanding and strengthening our distribution networks to get more of our products in the hands of fans worldwide

Likewise, we are always honoured to partner with IPs to create licensed products of the fantastical worlds that people love. One major new agreement that we announced in March is our partnership with Konami to create Yu-Gi-Oh! bags.

April-May: Launch of TarkirDragonstorm DOMARU boxes

Our first series of DOMARU boxes came with the release of Tarkir: Dragonstorm. The aim of DOMARU was to provide artisanal, elegant and protective card storage. Our Tarkir: Dragonstorm DOMARU boxes are based on the five spirit dragons and their tribes, with dragon-scale textured leather and unique scale patterns.

As Tarkir: Dragonstorm events in the EMEA region were being run, we partnered with Wizards Play Network (WPN) to provide organisers with an exclusive limited edition DOMARU box based on the spiritdragon planeswalker Ugin.

May-June: MagicCon Las Vegas, Launch of SLAB

The preparations for MagicCon Las Vegas were incredibly intense, with everyone on deck bringing in new products for our exhibitor booth. The larger booth space meant we could set it up like a mini store, where customers could browse through and physically interact with the products before purchasing.

We added more to our ARTY and Kliggs lines, with the Chatterfang and Lathril ARTY boxes and Kliggs keychains of the Tarkir Dragons, some Planeswalkers, Partner Commanders and Li’l Walkers. We also had a Shake the Box campaign where contestants could attempt to shake open a full DOMARU box for 10 seconds to earn a $20 coupon. You can watch the video here.

We also showcased seven Showcase cards transformed into liquid glitter standees. They received a rousing reception as we even sold out on a few designs, and we’re glad to continue to expand our collection of these standees with more cards.

The biggest surprise for us though is how much of a celebrity our mascot cat Cinnamon has become. We launched a whole Cinnamon Collection of merchandise with keychains, Midnight Magic card sleeves, bags and a con-exclusive playmat, and it received incredible support from you guys. Some of you are only here for our cat, and we love you for it anyway. Keep showing us pictures of your own cats too.

July-AugustGen Con, Launch of Edge of Eternities DOMARU boxes

Much like with Tarkir: Dragonstorm, we launched a new set of DOMARU boxes for Edge of Eternities (EOE), inspired by five of Sothera’s core groups. These foiled designs are the perfect spaceships for any EOE deck. Following their Gen Con debut, they were soon joined by keychains of the main storyline characters, made in chibi form to travel with you across the stars.

August: Gatherers Tavern x Cardmarket at Gamescom

Gamescom was a major event for us in the EU, especially as it was our first time sharing a booth with the Cardmarket team. Other than Thoralf, Carl and Jamin, we had other influencers joining us like The Zero of Time, Lampi_YGO and Specimen Curley. They would duel it out with visitors over a variety of TCGs at our booth.

To celebrate, we made the GT x Cardmarket Express Mail Flight playmat and Soaring Delivery Service card sleeves, featuring our mascots Cinnamon the cat and Pablo the delivery dragon flying through the sky with deliveries. These exclusive goods were only obtainable through Cardmarket’s Spin the Wheel campaign, and there were incredibly long lines to get them.

September: MagicCon Atlanta

As the last MagicCon of the year, MagicCon Atlanta came with another wave of products pushed out. Our con-exclusive playmat was our most bestselling playmat to date, with many hidden details that make viewing it a fun game of hide-and-seek. Meanwhile, we also made our first con-exclusive Cinnamon shirt!

For the EOE-themed con, we had a lineup of new showcase Slabs of Tezzeret, Cruel Captain, Starfield Vocalist and Borderless Viewport dual lands. The first two did particularly well amongst fans.

The Animar ARTY box received a warm reception from the MagicCon show store, and so did our second series of Commanders Kliggs keychains! So many Ms Bumbleflower fans showed up, along with fans of our mascot cat Cinnamon – it's clear that there are many lovers of cute critters amongst our Taverners.

This was really the show that solidified GT as the souvenir shop of MagicCon. Our booth was described as one of the most interesting and interactive amongst retailers, and many customers bought our keychains as gifts for their playgroups back home. You can read more about the show here.

October: Kuriboh ARTY Bags and Slings

October marked the beginning of our Yu-Gi-Oh! products with the release of our Kuriboh ARTY Bags and Slings. The ARTY Slings our first expansion to the ARTY series beyond the typical box-shaped bags, with bigger sling bags that can fit more stuff inside. We’re looking forward to experimenting more with our ARTY series to make more accessories and storage systems suited for everyone’s lifestyle.

November: Magic the Gathering Avatar: The Last Airbender DOMARU + ARTY Boxes

November was a huge month for us with the release of our MtG x ATLA DOMARU and ARTY boxes for its Universes Beyond set. Months of work had gone into sampling and redesigning these boxes, especially Appa and Momo, so that they were the very best they could be.

In the meantime, we also launched pre-orders for our next two Yu-Gi-Oh! ARTY bags – Mokey Mokey and Rescue Cat!

November - December: Anime Festival AsiaSingapore Comic Con

As the year came to an end, we put out a new line of products for our DOMARU brand – the Cryptid Collection of DOMARU Patch Binders. These debuted at Anime Festival Asia and Singapore Comic Con, with exclusive discounts for the local Singapore Original Character Trading Card community. At Gatherers’ Tavern, we would be nothing without our artists and designers, and we want to support local communities in their own artistic endeavors.

Thank you for following our journey this year. There's so much that we do behind the scenes to design and distribute our products to you, and a lot of work has gone into setting up and building the foundations for the GT brand’s expansion. 2026 is going to be a year of continued growth for us, and we hope you’ll stick around our Tavern to see it with us. Everything we do is for you Taverners, and we want only the best collectibles for you to enjoy the fantasy worlds you love.
